Abstract
Incinerator ash produced due to mass burning of MSW may have significantly high concentration of water leachable constituents and may be classified as hazardous. A detailed waste characterization program undertaken for a MSW incinerator ash is included. Detailed chemical characterization indicate that incinerator ash may be classified as hazardous and does contain water leachable constituents that may impact groundwater. Both physical and chemical characteristics of the incinerator ash are reported. Keywords
