Study of the spectral mixture model of soil and vegetation in PoYang Lake area, China

Abstract
In China, the PoYang Lake area, is a famous bird sanctuary. We used an Airborne Imaging Spectrometer to make a detailed investigation, and collected field spectra in order to learn its environmental condition. In this paper, we focus only on the spectral mixture model study, adopting a nonlinear spectral mixture model to modify the field spectra collected from the PoYang Lake area. The calculated results demonstrated that the nonlinear spectral mixture model adopted in this paper is better than the linear spectral mixture model in the prediction of the spectral mixture problem. This model may be helpful for extracting correct information of soil, rock, vegetation from the Airborne Imaging Spectrometer data acquired from PoYang Lake area.
