C12onCa48transfer reactions: A test of the effectiveQ-value model

Abstract

Angular distributions for the ${}_{}{}^{48}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Ca}$(${}_{}{}^{12}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$, ${}_{}{}^{11}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{B}$)${}_{}{}^{49}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Sc}$ and ${}_{}{}^{48}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Ca}$(${}_{}{}^{12}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$,${}_{}{}^{13}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$)${}_{}{}^{47}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Ca}$ transfer reactions at $E_{\mathrm{lab}}=45\mathrm{}$ MeV are presented. The data are analyzed in the context of the effective $Q$-value model, which has previously been applied successfully to ${}_{}{}^{16}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{O}$ induced reactions on ${}_{}{}^{48}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Ca}$. The model accounts equally well for the observed behaviors of the ${}_{}{}^{12}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$+${}_{}{}^{48}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{Ca}$ system, provided the influence of the strong inelastic transition to the first excited $2^{+}$ (4.43 MeV) state in ${}_{}{}^{12}{}_{}{}^{}\mathrm{C}$ is taken into account.
