Abstract
Aspirin and sulfapyrinazone are tested in patients to determine effects on transient ischemic attacks and subsequent strokes. No difference is observed in females with either drug; however, males benefit from aspirin therapy. Rabbit and rat experiments are compared. Interactions of testosterone and prostaglandin cyclooxygenase are believed to reduce platelet aggregation causing fewer vascular attacks. This publication has 15 references indexed in Scilit:
