Abstract
A chlorophyll sensor was designed for remote applications in underwater-towed bodies and moored or buoyed sensor systems for measurement periods up to 60 days. The sensor has alternative ranges of 0-100 mg m-3 or 0-1000 mg m-3 chlorophyll a, with a resolution of 0.1 mg m-3, and excellent long-term stability of calibration. Some results obtained with the sensor in the undulating oceanographic recorder in the English Channel are presented.
