The Interaction of Extrinsic Rewards and Intrinsic Motivation: A Review and Suggestions for Future Research.

Abstract

The extant literation on the interaction of intrinsic and extrinsic motivational factors are reviewed with attention focused on potential sources of non-comparability across studies. Suggestions are made which if adopted would lead to a more additive body of evidence on the intrinsic motivation phenomenon.
