Abstract
The electrical conductivity and Seebeck coefficient have been measured for pure and Li- or Al-doped CuO. The sign of the Seebeck coefficient of all samples shows p-type semiconducting properties in all temperature and oxygen partial pressure ranges employed in this measurement. The temperature dependence of electrical conductivity shows two regions. The conductivity in the high-temperature region is independent of the doping and the atmosphere, whereas that in the low-temperature region depends strongly on such factors. Keywords
