El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar los argumentos históricos que presentó el EZLN (Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional) como legítimos en la Primera Declaración de la Selva Lacandona, a través del Análisis Crítico del Discurso y de la Teoría de la Relevancia, en la cual se trataba de denunciar las prácticas sociales del gobierno federal y la firma del Tratado de Libre Comercio de América del Norte. The first declaration of the Lacandon Jungle: declaration of war from EZLN to Mexican government 1994 The objective of this article is to analyze the historical arguments of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional, EZLN) legitimated by the First Declaration of the Lacandon Jungle. In order to do so ,the Zapatistas' positions to denounce the social practice of the Federal Governmentand the Signing of the North American Free Trade Agreement, included in this Declaration, will be approached by the Critical Discourse Analysis and the Relevance Theory.
