Adenocarcinoma Arising in an Excluded Loop of Ileum

Abstract

ADENOCARCINOMA complicating regional enteritis was first reported in 1956 by Ginzburg et al.¹ Since that time there have been scattered case reports, but because carcinomas of the jejunum and ileum constitute less than 1 per cent of all tumors of the gastrointestinal tract a few cases have importance.Case ReportF.P. (H.F.H. 058–12–52–5), a 35-year-old man, was first seen at the Henry Ford Hospital in 1949 because of chronic psoriasis.
