Self-Focusing of Light by Potassium Vapor

Abstract

Raman-shifted ruby-laser light on the high-frequency side of the ${}_{}{}^2{}_{}{}^{}P_{\frac{3}{2}}^{}{}_{}{}^{}$ resonance line (7665 Å) of potassium was self-focused by a dilute potassium gas.
