Schwere Thrombozytopenie mit hämorrhagischer Diathese bei infektiöser Mononukleose

Abstract

Bei einem 17jährigen Jungen hatte eine infektiöse Mononukleose zu der seltenen Komplikation einer schweren Thrombozytopenie mit hämorrhagischer Diathese geführt. Im Verlauf von drei Monaten kam es zur vollständigen Rückbildung aller Symptome. Über die Pathogenese läßt sich noch keine sichere Aussage machen; denkbar wäre, daß der Komplikation ein Autoimmunmechanismus zugrunde liegt. A case is reported of a 17-year old boy with infectious mononucleosis who developed the very rare complication of severe thrombocytopenia with haemorrhagic diathesis. In the course of three months there was complete regression of all signs and symptoms. Nothing is definitely known about the pathogenesis of the thrombocytopenia but an autoimmune mechanism may be responsible.
