Abstract
The pulse method has been applied to measure mechanical properties of NaCl, KBr, and KCl at 10 and 30 Mc/sec. The elastic constants of KBr have been measured in the low temperature region. The strain-optical constants have been measured by a traveling-wave method suggested by Mueller.Keywords
