Abstract
Quiz Ref ID Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c) is a practical measure of average glucose levels during the preceding 2 to 3 months.1-4 In 2009, after review of available evidence, an International Expert Committee recommended the use of HbA1c to diagnose diabetes.5 Extensive work has been done by the NGSP (formerly, the National Glycohemoglobin Standardization Program) to standardize methods for measuring HbA1c and to identify methods that provide accurate HbA1c measurement even in the presence of hemoglobin variants.6This publication has 33 references indexed in Scilit:
