A note on the construction of the C*‐algebra of bosonic strings

Abstract

This work continues investigations on the C*‐algebra of bosonic strings started in Comm. Math. Phys. 136, 369 (1991). There a canonical section of a bundle was used implicitly in order to pass to an algebra of functions. In this article an algebra of sections is worked with directly. This clarifies the discussion on associativity of the algebra.
