Abstract
Ligation of the thoracic duct in dogs produced an increase in intestinal loss of Il31-labeled polyvinylpyrrolidone. This occurred in the absence of any change in systemic venous pressure. The protein loss observed in such conditions as constructive pericarditis is probably based on impedance of lymph return to the hypertensive venous system and consequent elevation of lymphatic pressure. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
