Abstract

The purpose of this article is to help licensed practical nurses/licensed vocational nurses (LPN/LVN) become aware of their role in the changing healthcare system. There is no better time than the present to begin thinking of how to survive in the current atmosphere of change and uncertainty. The challenge for the LPN/LVN is to define a framework for practice in the new system. A clear vision is needed for tomorrow, a personal vision that each individual must define and work toward.
