NORMAL MENTALITY ASSOCIATED WITH A MALDEVELOPED "RHINENCEPHALON"

Abstract
The brain of a 34-yr.-old man with no history of mental defect had a deficient corpus callosum, it being represented chiefly by the genu and splenium. There was no longitudinal cingulate gyrus or sulcus. Fimbria, fornix and septum pellucidum were absent. The hippocampus was grossly reduced. During life there were no abnormalities of smell or emotional temperament. The case is compared with one previously reported.
