Skeletal or Osseous DevelopmentThe characteristic picture of the development of the skeleton as seen in roentgenograms of the hand and other areas has been studied in great numbers of children at each age, and standards representing average occurrences have been published. The Atlas of the Hand prepared by Todd26 is the most extensive of these and serves as a practical standard for comparing subjects.
