Abstract
In Urban Dynamics J. W. Forrester extended his system dynamics method to the problems of urban modelling. The article describes his concepts and model of the city and outlines some of their limitations. The results and implications of the model's use are also examined. The appendix describes and analyses some of the model's equations. Keywords
