The IMFL Anemoclinometer—An Instrument for the Investigation of a Fluctuating Velocity Vector

Abstract
The IMFL anemoclinometer is an instrument measuring the magnitude and direction of a fluctuating fluid velocity. As a result of a measurement, three pressure differences are obtained from which the vector velocity is found. Contrary to some similar instruments, the anemoclinometer is not moved during a test and can, therefore, be easily used to obtain recordings. Three variants of the IMFL anemoclinometer are described and their application to experimental measurements is discussed.
