Abstract
Relative to the education of children and youth with autism spectrum disorders, this article discusses the need to connect research and policy. Included in the discussion are issues related to selecting and implementing use of research and evidence-based practices with students with autism-related disabilities and the need for appropriately trained educational professionals. Discussion of these issues is accompanied by recommendations for action.Keywords
