Abstract

5-(β-methoxyethoxymethyl)-1-aza-3,7-dioxabicyclo[3.3.0]-octane (1) was prepared in high yield by a reaction of tris-(hydroxymethyl)-aminomethane (TRIS) with β-methoxyethoxymethylchloride (MEMCl).
