Cellulose to Sugars: New Path Gives Quantitative Yield

Abstract
Cellulosic residues that had been treated with a small amount of chemical solvent under room conditions were quantitatively saccharified on enzyme hydrolysis. This treatment can be used to obtain simple sugars for the production of alcohol and other chemicals.Keywords
