Neutron decay ofLi10produced by fragmentation

Abstract
The neutron decay of Li10, produced in the reaction of 80 MeV/nucleon O18 + Cnat, was studied by the coincidence detection of neutrons and Li9 nuclei in a collinear geometry. An analysis of the relative velocity spectrum indicates the presence of a Li10 state which decays by very low energy neutron emission. This state corresponds to either the ground state of Li10, in which case it is probably an s-wave resonance, or an excited state at Ex≊2.5 MeV.
