Abstract

THE ability of a woman with a thyroid disorder to become pregnant, to carry a pregnancy to term and to produce an infant with adequate endowment for good development is diminished unless the disease is well controlled.^{1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10} The delivery of an apparently normal live-born infant at term does not necessarily indicate that the product of the pregnancy is satisfactory.
