Abstract
Optical demultiplexing for a 40 Gbit/s RZ-DPSK OTDM signal using a fibre optical parametric amplifier with a sinusoidal-clock-modulated pump is experimentally demonstrated. Less than 1.3 dB power penalty and around 30 dB gain are obtained for all four demultiplexed channels. Superior performance is obtained for the demultiplexed tributaries in RZ-DPSK OTDM systems compared with those in RZ-OOK OTDM.Keywords
