Abstract
Approximately one third of patients with acute severe ulcerative colitis (ASUC) fail response to steroids. Ciclosporin and anti‐TNFα are proven second‐line therapies, but evidence of their efficacy has come mainly from tertiary centres and/or selective clinical trial recruitment.Keywords
