Abstract
We propose a method for controlling the unitary evolution of quantum systems by switching on and off alternatively two distinct constant perturbations. We show how to find appropriate switching times in order to attain any desired evolution. We suggest an experimental realization of our method in controlling the translational motion of cold atoms. Keywords
