Abstract
A small survey of nurses' awareness and preparation to meet the spiritual needs of their patients is reported. The findings of this study suggest that although nurses are aware of spiritual needs of patients, these are poorly met. Nurses' competence in meeting spiritual needs of their patients should be improved by further education in spiritual care. Keywords
