Abstract
A convenient and fast sonochemical methodology for the synthesis of indenopyrazolone derivatives via three-component reaction of benzaldehyde, phenylhydrazine, and ninhydrin in acetonitrile is described. A series of compounds were synthesized and characterized by FT-IR, 1HNMR and CHN. This appropriate procedure includes several advantages such as short reaction times, room temperature, excellent yield with easy purification process and mild reaction conditions. In addition, ultrasonic irradiation vs. traditional heating or stirring conditions showed worthy superiority. Keywords
