A novel preparation of iron-doped TiO2 nanoparticles with enhanced photocatalytic activity

Abstract
FeIII-doped TiO2 nanoparticles prepared from organic precursors (2.5 atom% Fe) exhibit strongly enhanced photocatalytic activity as demonstrated by the quantum yields measured for the formation of formaldehyde by photocatalyzed oxidation of methanol in aqueous solution (Φ up to ca. 15%).
