Optical Properties of a Reflecting Cone

Abstract
An expression giving the irradiance distribution in a plane perpendicular to the axis of a reflecting cone has been found for the case of an axial source. The result is consistent with the expected behavior of a plane, which is the limiting case of a reflecting cone. The irradiance varies inversely as the square of the sum of the distances of the source and the observation point from the cone. This variation is found to be in agreement with energy conservation.
