Abstract
The authors outline the implications that the growing number of health and social service professionals in schools has for schools, teachers, and teacher education and discusses the need to improve coordination and collaboration among these professionals. Teacher education units are urged to monitor this trend, to consider modifying their programs in appropriate ways, and to model collaborative relationships with human service professionals. Keywords
