Seafloor spreading in the western Gulf of Aden

Abstract
Interpretation of a new magnetic survey suggests that the evolution of the Gulf of Aden involved at least two phases of seafloor spreading. A recent phase from about 5 Myr ago to the present is well established and an early phase from about 30–15 Myr ago seems most likely.Keywords
