Abstract
Public health researchers from Thailand's Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU) , Chiang Mai University, Ministry of Public Health and National Economic and Social Development Board, and two Australian universities (Australian National University and University of Queensland) are collaborating to study the Thai health-risk transition. The project was funded by the International Collaborative Research Grants Scheme developed by the Wellcome Trust (UK) and the National Health and Medical Research Council (Australia). These 5-year grants stimulated regional research collaboration and capacity-building for significant public health topics. Keywords
