Abstract
La médecine tibétaine est une médecine traditionnelle savante, fort ancienne et toujours vivante. Elle s’appuie sur une flore très vaste et originale, celle des hautes montagnes himalayennes. Ce mémoire se propose d’exposer les traits caractéristiques de la médecine tibétaine et d’explorer sa matière médicale à travers l’étude précise de quelques plantes remarquables d’une famille botanique incontournable: les Astéracées. Tibetan medicine is a one of the great ancient traditional medical system that is still vividly practised. This medicine uses the rich and original flora of the High Himalaya Mountains. This paper is an extract from a “mémoire de diplôme universitaire de phytothérapie” whose purpose was to present the main features of Tibetan medicine and explore its materia medica though a detailed study of some remarkable plants among the important Asteraceae family.Keywords
