Abstract
Cloud computing is a cost efficient infrastructure enterprise. Its demand has increased the energy consumption of data centers drastically. This is becoming a serious issue. Therefore, It need green cloud computing solutions to save energy and reduce operational costs and carbon emission which is not friendly for the environment. Hence, energy-efficient solutions should be used to reduce its effect. In order to achieve this, enough knowledge of cloud is required. Basically our main business is to implicate the solution to enable the future research on green cloud computing. This paper will give the idea that how cloud users can be useful to achieve this goal. This paper also discusses the benefits of Green Cloud Computing and also deals with the various aspects to reduce the energy consumption by cloud computing and reduce the carbon dioxide level. This paper also includes factors supporting the need for green cloud computing and the features of the cloud which enable green computing. Further in the paper, challenges faced are explained and a little explanation of green cloud architecture is also given. Keywords
