Treatment of Vaginismus by Psychotherapy with Adjunctive Hypnosis

Abstract

This is a case of a young woman suffering from vaginismus resulting in an unconsummated marriage. During three years of psychotherapy, hypnosis was used adjunctively. The symptom resolution was considered to be related to the use of hypnosis on two occasions early in therapy.
