Abstract
A stochastic formulation of the finite integration technique over generic polyhedral grids for 3-D eddy-current problems is derived using polynomial chaos expansion. The formulation is then applied to a test case representing an ac resistance welding system. Validation of the formulation is carried out by comparison with Monte Carlo simulations. Keywords
