Abstract
A scanning electron microscopic study of the different morphological stages of tinea versicolor organisms was conducted. Included are the yeast-like and hypae forms representative of Malassezia furfur as well as various phases of blastospore development of phialides cells, characteristic of Pityrosporon orbiculare. In addition, a hair shaft showed both hyphal and phialidial cell types. Keywords
