Abstract
An intrauterine contraceptive device releasing 20 micrograms levonorgestrel daily has been studied for 15 years. The international clinical experience covers over 8000 woman years. Main characteristics of the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine device are its great effectiveness in preventing unplanned pregnancies and a reduction in menstrual bleeding and pain as well as a low infection rate. This publication has 16 references indexed in Scilit:
