Abstract
Investigation of monthly Chinese births in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Taiwan shows a very similar seasonal pattern. The strong influence of Chinese culture appears to be the cause of the seasonality and similarity. Economic development has not altered this seasonal pattern significantly. The statistical methods presented in this paper to analyze Chinese births are readily applicable to many other areas. Keywords
