Abstract
The incidence of postoperative deep vein thrombosis in a series of Asian patients has been studied using 125I‐labelled fibrinogen. Deep vein thrombosis was found in 12 per cent, which is a much lower incidence than in comparable Western series. The cause of this difference is discussed. Keywords
