Rheumatoid Tenosynovial Involvement in the Hand

Abstract

In our opinion tenosynovitis and tendon disruption can be related to tendons and areas subject to greatest activity and stress, such as is found where they move in and out of constricting fibrous sheaths. We find little evidence for direct tendon abrasion. Trauma in relation to extensor carpi ulnaris might be important.
