Abstract
A semiconductor monolithic add-drop multiplexer is proposed. An electrically tunable grating switch is monolithically integrated with multimode interference couplers, and wavelength selective add-drop multiplexing is achieved in this structure for the first time. The power penalty is as small as 2 dB.Keywords
