This paper presents the JHKL' standard stars in use for photometry at the Anglo-Australian Observatory. They are equatorial or southern hemisphere objects 1.5 < K < 6 comparison with other lists of standards is presented, and in particular with the Johnson photometric system. Some recommendations on the use of JHKL' standard stars are given.
