Feedback-Seeking in Individual Adaptation: A Resource Perspective

Abstract
This research examines a theory of feedback-seeking in organizations. Individuals are hypothesized to seek feedback on important issues and in new and uncertain situations. Results support these hypotheses. Individuals also report frequent seeking for feedback when they fear they are failing to attain goals. Long-tenured individuals seek less feedback, apparently in response to social pressures to appear confident and self-assured.Keywords
