Abstract
The chromone theory of mitosis proposes that the cell centers are not involved in karyokinesis but only in cytokinesis. Each separate chromone consists of a chromosome, a spindlette (composed of S-micellae), a terminus and a spindle fiber (composed of T-micellae). Mitosis is characterized by the organization, orientation and disassembling of the separate chromones. Keywords
