Abstract
Surgical procedures involving the thyroid and parathyroid glands are well tolerated and safe. But these procedures require wide transverse skin incisions along the neck. Considering that the prevalence of these diseases is much higher in women than men, reducing the size of the skin incision would be highly beneficial for patients suffering from thyroid and parathyroid diseases.Keywords
