Interaction of a small-size wave packet with a hadron target

Abstract

We calculate in QCD the cross section for the scattering of an energetic small-size wave packet off a hadron target. We use our results to study the small-$\sigma$ behavior of $P_{\pi N}\left(\sigma \right)$, the distribution over the cross section for the pion-nucleon scattering, in the leading ${\alpha }_s$ order.
